Dennis Hodges started guitar lessons when he was just 8 years old. He did not like it at all, and only because his parents parents forced him to practice early on and kept paying for lessons, did he keep on going playing his guitar.
Dennis had a tremendous passion for drawing, but by the time he was 12 years old, guitar playing became more important to Dennis. Although he stopped his guitar lessons, he learned a lot by himself, he also played bass guitar at the local church.
In high school Dennis Hodges joined the marching band, he played in different metal bands and still played in church, all this gave him an appreciation for different styles of music.
In 2001, Dennis came to Bexley, Ohio to study guitar at Capital University with Stan Smith, with the emphasis on jazz and classical guitar. Together with his metal past the basis for most of his teaching style was set in motion.
